Unsung Hero Award Winner

Victor Lee Miller

It is with great honor that the Friends of Boulder City Police Department award the first Unsung Hero Award to the Honorable Victor Lee Miller.

Judge Miller has presided over the Boulder City Municipal Court since his appointment in February 1984. Judge Miller graduated from Boulder City High School prior to graduating from Brigham Young University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1981.

Judge Miller has been admitted to practice law in the Nevada Supreme Court, United States District Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Tax Court. In addition to being appointed as Municipal Judge in Boulder City, he also serves as the Justice of the Peace for Boulder Township and has done so since 1993. In June of 2001, he was appointed District Court Juvenile Hearing Master to hear juvenile matters occurring in Boulder City and Searchlight, Nevada.

Friends of Boulder City Police Department would like to thank Judge Miller for the commitment he and his family have made to make Boulder City a safer place to live, work and visit.
