Dawn Green - Spring 2013

Boulder City is so blessed with outstanding volunteers and it is our pleasure to introduce the newest Unsung Hero, Dawn L. Green, DDS. The Unsung Hero committee received a plethora of nominations for Dawn - each outlining her commitment of service Boulder City. Dawn has championed the Miss Boulder City Scholarship Pageant, which was the foundation for the newly created Boulder City Scholarship Challenge – which now allows young men, in addition to young ladies, the opportunity to raise funds for college. Unsung Hero Marcie Gibson reports that Dawn spends "hundreds of hours" each year, almost single- handedly, facilitating this event on behalf of our college-bound youth.

Additionally, Dawn is an active member of Boulder City Sunrise Rotary where she volunteers tirelessly for local youth on the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program. Dawn was also instrumental in bringing motivational speaker, Jerry Traylor to Boulder City. Mr. Traylor conducted several presentations at Boulder City schools, as well as a community presentation. Dawn is also a Team Captain for Relay for Life as well as an active member of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and the Treasurer for Friends of the Arts.

It is an honor to recognize Dawn Green as our newest Unsung Hero. She is an outstanding role model and mentor for young ladies in Boulder City who makes Boulder City a better place to live, work and visit. Congratulations Dr. Dawn!
