Doing what we can to assist those that make Boulder City a safe place to live, work and visit.
Unsung Hero Award Winner

Christy Springgate-Hill - Fall 2011
If our community was to pay this quarter's Unsung Hero Award recipient for the thousands of hours she spent volunteering to make Boulder City such a great place to live, work and visit, we would be nearing poverty while this quarter's Unsung Hero, Christy Springgate-Hill, would be living a life of luxury.
Christy donates countless hours for a variety of worthy causes ranging from the Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club, Friends of the Arts and the Police Department's Citizens Academy Alumni Association, just to name a few.
According to Jill Rowland-Lagan, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce, "Spring Jamboree just wouldn't happen if it wasn't for the hard work and commitment demonstrated by Chamber Volunteers, of which Christy is instrumental." Cokie Booth, long-time supporter of the Boys and Girls Club and owner of BC Real Estate, states that "Christy always pours her heart and soul into everything she does and never asks or expects recognition."
Boulder City and the many non-profit causes which our community supports would not be as successful if it weren't for Christy, which is why she was chosen as this quarter's Unsung Hero. Keep up the great work Christy as you fly the banner of volunteerism for all of us to admire and aspire!
