Christine Spadafor - Spring 2011

Christine Spadafor is a one of a kind executive that Boulder City is fortunate to have amongst our midst. Ms. Spadafor assumed her role as Chief Executive Office at Saint Jude's Ranch for Children in 2006 when the local non-profit was on the brink of closing its doors.

She designed and led a financial turnaround of the Ranch, which is now debt free and possesses a strong balance sheet. Saint Jude's Ranch for Children was able to launch five new programs within the last two years, serving more children and families who desperately need their services.

Prior to assuming her role at Saint Jude's Ranch for Children, Ms. Spadafor graduated from Harvard Law School, received her Master's of Science degree from Harvard School of Public Health, was a partner in three premier global management consulting firms and was an editor of The Harvard Environmental Law Review. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Boyd Gaming Corporation and was recently selected by the American Bar Association as one of the top 20 female attorneys in the country with business expertise - the only attorney from a non-profit to be selected.

Ms. Spadafor's commitment to youth, along with ensuring the long-term financial stability of Saint Jude's Ranch for Children are only two of the many reasons why she was selected as the recipient of the Unsung Hero Award. Keep up the great work, Ms. Spadafor!Return to Unsung Heroes
